Terms and Conditions

Refunds and transfers

Once you have bought a ticket, it can't be refunded or returned unless the event is cancelled or postponed, unless in extreme circumstances. We can't cancel or refund any travel or accommodation you may have arranged to attend the event, even if the event is cancelled or postponed. You will need to cancel your flights, train tickets and accommodation yourself.

You can, however, transfer your ticket to a friend or colleague if you can't make it to WDC. Just drop us an email at [email protected] at least 12 hours before the end starts, and we'll organise a name switch free of charge. If you'd like to donate your ticket as a diversity ticket, that can also be arranged.

Rules and regulations

You need to follow our venues' rules and regulations as well as the code of conduct. You will also comply with all reasonable safety and any other announcements whilst attending the event, whether this is given by the venue or a Web Developers Conference employee.

We have the right to refuse entry to the event or to eject any person behaving in breach of our terms and conditions, code of conduct, the safety regulations of the venue or any instructions given to you by any official Watershed or WDC employees at the event. This is entirely at our discretion.

We are not responsible for any lost or stolen property.

Schedule and lineup

Sometimes the speaker lineup has to change, whether that's a speaker dropping out or the need to shuffle the schedule around. We reserve the right to change the event schedule and/or speakers. If we have to replace a speaker, we'll always make sure we're replacing them with someone equally awesome!

Photos and videos

There will be people taking video and photos at the event for our marketing purposes. We will give you the option to put a sticker on your badge or yourself that says that you'd prefer photos of yourself not published by WDC or our partners. As long as this sticker is visible, we will endeavour to exclude photos of you in our marketing material.

Accessibility

Please contact us if you want to attend the event and have any special requirements such as access for wheelchairs or are hearing impaired. The Watershed is an accessible venue, so we will do our best to accommodate you! We have forewarned speakers to give content warnings on their slides if they contain motion, as well as anything that may be upsetting, as to help with folks who aren't a fan.
